How To Use Peninsular Cylinder Mill Cylinder Sizing Charts

Peninsular Mill Cylinder sizing charts are to be used when a Sales Representative, a Customer, or a Service Person in the field is in need of interchanging a MILL TYPE Air or Hydraulic Cylinder built by another cylinder manufacturer. Due to the fact that MILL TYPE cylinders are not covered by NFPA or ISO standards and various manufactruers build to their own "standards", Peninsular has designed these sizing charts to aid in the interchange process. By submitting the information contained on these charts, Peninsular will have the necessary information to correctly quote and produce the replacement cylinder.

The steps necessary to communicate with Peninsular are as follows:

1. Download Peninsular Cylinder Sizing Chart - Identify the mounting style of the cylinder in question or use the basic cylinder template (No Mount-MX0) to design your own cylinder.

2. Print a copy of the chart containing the required mounting style and FILL IN ALL DIMENSIONS and information as requested.

3. FAX the completed copied chart and Contact Information form (referenced below) to:

Fill-in Form Instructions:

This Sizing Chart Contact Information Form can be filled in and printed onscreen. You will need version 4 or later of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill in the form and print it with the data you've entered. (click here for latest free version of Acrobat Reader)

 

*Please Note: You cannot save filled in forms using the free Acrobat Reader. In order to save the form, you must first purchase a full version of Adobe Acrobat. However, you can still print the filled in form for your records and to fax to Peninsular.

 

To complete a fill-in form onscreen:

• Position the hand tool inside a form field and click. The I-beam pointer allows you to type text.
• The pointing finger tool allows you to select a field, a check box, a radio button, or an item from a list.
• Press Tab to accept the field change and go to the next field. Press Shift-Tab to move to the previous field.

  Once the form is filled in, please print two copies, one for your records and one to fax to Peninsular along with your completed Sizing Chart to Fax (586) 775-4545.
